Dorzolamide Glaucoma Eye Drops (Trusopt®)

Dorzolamide ophthalmic solution eye drops are often prescribed to treat glaucoma in dogs and cats. Glaucoma is characterized by an increase in the ocular pressure of the eye. Dorzolamide helps control the production of fluid to help reduce the pressure in the eye and to help reduce the potential resulting damage from the pressure. Side effects are possible and include, but are not limited to, severe allergic reactions, blurred vision, itchy watery eyes, sensitivity to sunlight and nausea. Improper usage of dorzolamide drops can also lead to eye infections so visit thoroughly with your veterinarian first regarding proper usage, safety measures and wether or not Trusopt is the right drug for your specific pet.
