Miconazole Lotion and Spray Antifungal Pet Medications
Miconazole is a prescription required antifungal pet medication for dogs and cats
designed to help treat ringworm and other fungal
skin problems such as yeast infections. The 1% formula is available in spray or lotion.
Conofite is also a brand name
form of generic miconazole.
Healthy animals should see signs of improvement within a few weeks after starting a miconazole regimen,
however it can sometimes take as long as four weeks to see signs of significant results.

Antifungals such as miconazole are designed to stop fungus from growing on the skin. Miconazole is a prescription medication
because side effects are possible (mostly external) and it should be administered according to your veterinarian's instructions.
There are certain other topical medications that should not be used in conjunction with miconazole so you will want to let your
pet's doctor know everything they are currently using including and flea, tick or heartworm meds. The cost of miconazole nitrate
